Education Initiative
At DSR Public Health Foundation, we recognize that education shapes every part of a person’s
life; including their health, confidence, and future opportunities. Many families in rural North
Florida face real challenges when it comes to accessing quality educational support, whether due
to limited resources, transportation barriers, or a lack of enrichment programs close to home. Our
Education Initiative was created to help fill those gaps and bring practical, meaningful learning
opportunities directly to the communities we serve.
Education on Medical Marijuana and Unlawful Use of Marijuana and Vaping
In partnership with Florida A&M University Medical Marijuana Education and Research Initiative (MMERI), we provide youth with clear, honest education about marijuana and vaping including what’s legal, what’s not, and how it can impact their health. Through school and community-based conversations, we create space for questions, real talk, and learning without judgment, helping youth make informed choices that support their
health, goals, and future.

Sunshine Health Mentoring
Working in partnership with Sunshine Health, our goal is simple: to help children, youth, and adults gain the tools they need to succeed. Through tutoring, skill-building workshops, and programs that connect education with health and wellness, we create spaces where learning feels accessible, encouraging, and connected to everyday life.
